Ryan Davis Trio featuring Pamela Hart

 —  —

Parker Jazz Club, 117 W. 4th St. Suite 107B, Austin TX 78701

Ryan Davis Trio featuring Pamela Hart The Ryan Davis Trio plays classic jazz and Great American Songbook selections, including modern works but also stretching back through the post-bop, cool jazz, and traditional jazz genres, trying to build on the musical language that has been left for us, and attempting to introduce a new audience to these great tunes. “Ultimately though, we are trying to groove, to find a connection on a more fundamental, human level, and move the audience with us,” says Davis.

Pianist, composer, and arranger Davis leads the ensemble, with Jeremy Bruch on drums and Ben Triesch on bass. Specific artists that have influenced the sound of the group include Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner, Ellis Marsalis, Tamir Hendelman, Bill Charlap, Errol Garner, George Shearing, Red Garland, and many others.

The show is available via livestream, generously sponsored by local nonprofit Texas Jazz Society. Online donations are welcome—all proceeds benefit Texas Jazz Society’s mission to keep jazz alive and thriving in Texas.
